Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TheStartupsHub collects, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have. We aim to keep it readable, not buried in jargon.

TheStartupsHub is owned and managed by Dave Groups, which is the data controller responsible for your information under this policy.

Template notice: This is a starting template written to align with common principles from the EU GDPR and India's DPDP Act. Have a qualified lawyer review and adapt it for your jurisdictions and actual data practices before you launch.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the platform and match you with the right people and opportunities.

Information you give us

Information we collect automatically

2. How we use it

Verification and the founder assessment. If you verify your email we generate a one-time code, send it to you and delete it once used or expired (10 minutes). Phone numbers given in the assessment are stored with your request and verified by SMS at launch. If you take the founder assessment, your answers and scores are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, an AI service, solely to generate your personalised plan; we instruct it to use only resources we have verified, and we do not use your answers for advertising or sell them to anyone.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on these bases: performing our contract with you to provide the service, your consent for optional communications, our legitimate interests in running and improving the platform, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. When we share information

AI processing. Founder assessment answers are processed by Anthropic (Claude API) as a service provider, only to produce your plan, under their commercial data terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited ways:

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time required by law.

6. How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and regulators of significant incidents where the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

9. Contact us
