Home / In-house services

Optional and clearly disclosed

Our own services, same rules.

Dave Groups, which owns and manages TheStartupsHub, also runs a small services team. These services are optional and paid; the platform itself, the community, Starter Boost, schemes and templates stay at no cost forever. Founders never pay to be here.

In-house by Dave Groups

Wherever these services appear on the platform, in resources, the directory, funding or partners, they carry this badge. They receive no ranking preference over marketplace providers, ever, and choosing them is never a condition for anything else on TheStartupsHub.

The five services

Deliberately boring, deliberately load-bearing: the operational plumbing that steals founder hours.

IT support

Setup, security and day-two IT for small teams by our own engineers.

  • Workspace, email and device setup done right the first time
  • Security hygiene: access, backups, password practice
  • A human to call when something breaks

Servers & hosting

Managed VPS, deployment and uptime care from the team that runs this platform.

  • Provisioning, hardening and monitoring
  • Deploy pipelines and rollbacks that behave
  • Honest capacity advice, not upsells

Accounting

Founder-grade books, GST and monthly MIS so numbers are never the surprise.

  • Bookkeeping and GST filings on calendar
  • Monthly MIS a founder can actually read
  • Fundraise-ready financials when the moment comes

Business compliance

ROC filings, registrations and a compliance calendar you never think about again.

  • Incorporation follow-through and annual filings
  • Registrations and licences tracked in one place
  • Deadline alerts before they become penalties

Legal

Contracts, founder documents and IP paperwork through our empanelled counsel.

  • Founder agreements, ESOP and customer contracts
  • IP assignments and filings coordinated end to end
  • Plain-language explanations before you sign anything

Two ways to engage

Pick what suits your cash position. Both come with written agreements, always.

Cash

Straight fees

A quoted scope, a clear fee, an invoice. No lock-ins, no minimum terms beyond the work itself, and you can stop whenever the work stops serving you. If cash is tight, ask about the deferred-cash option under the guardrails below.

Equity or stake

Small stake for sustained work

For founders who would rather preserve cash, sustained engagements can be paid with a small equity stake instead. This is a serious decision, which is exactly why it comes wrapped in the hard guardrails below rather than a handshake.

Equity guardrails, non-negotiable

Equity is founder blood. If any engagement ever touches it, all of the following apply, no exceptions.

Written agreements only

Every equity engagement is papered properly. Nothing rests on chat messages or goodwill.

2 to 6 percent cap

Total equity across all Dave Groups services combined stays within 2 to 6 percent, sized to the work, never more.

Vesting, not vibes

Stakes vest against delivered work over time. Stop the engagement and unvested equity simply never transfers.

CA or CS on the paperwork

An independent chartered accountant or company secretary signs off on every equity-linked document.

Deferred-cash option

Prefer to keep your cap table clean? Convert to a deferred cash arrangement instead of equity, agreed upfront.

The buy-from-anyone pledge

You may always buy any of these services from anyone else, including providers listed in our own directory, and nothing about your membership, visibility, Starter Boost access or standing on TheStartupsHub changes one bit. We win this work on merit or we do not win it, and the platform stays neutral either way.

This page is intentionally reachable from contextual cards in Resources, Funding, the Mentors & Incubators directory and Partners, not from the main navigation. That is by design: services should be found where they are relevant, never pushed. Engagement terms are finalised in the written agreement for each scope; nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance by itself, and nothing here is legal or financial advice.
